This amazingly private and magical property is a wilderness oasis and yet it is not too far from everything. Consisting of 48 acres (19.78ha) of lush forest, from the tall ferns at the bottom to the towering trees at the top, there is some fantastic diversity here. To top it off, an access leads you all the way through to a huge cleared plateau within the heart of the property. Here there is a small and super cute cabin, providing you with the ultimate glamping experience.
The access to the start of the property is by a private right of way that winds its way through the forest, following the Bakers Creek line. You pass through the creek twice via rocky fords and a well engineered timber bridge gets you over the 3rd crossing. All the way in you are driving through a fern glade within the lush forest gully. As you arrive at the entry point to the property, there are beautiful rock features where a gate maintains complete privacy. This is a very secluded and very exciting property.
From the entry gate, the access continues right the way into the property, allowing you to explore vast areas of your own wilderness, eventually popping out at the reward at the end. The big open space consists of a large, solid and flat area for you to do as you wish, with a small dam just in front. The access continues around the ridge-line up to the little single room cabin, complete with a covered deck, a water tank and a garden shed to store all your gear. From here the views are of the natural wonder that surrounds the property. You won't find a scrap of logging in this area.
The vegetation changes as you wind your way through the property, from the lush ferns at the bottom along Bakers Creek itself, that forms one of the boundaries for around 500m, through pristine forest, to the dryer, tall gums as you climb from around 300m to 400m in altitude. There can be moments of snowfall here in the winter. The forest is teeming with birdlife of all kinds including Scarlet Robins, Blue Wrens, Black Cockatoos, Green Rosellas and the majestic Wedge-tailed Eagles. Critters are plentiful too, from Platypus in the creek to Wallabies, Quolls and Bandicoots and even the odd Devil.
