The vendors give you a glimpse of the lifestyle you could have:
Approximately 7 years ago after many months of searching for our first family home, we drove down Kangarilla Road, admiring the stunning vista that lead us to a beautiful Tudor cottage for sale, and we knew we had found our home. Without even stepping foot inside the cottage, we knew it was the one. It felt right. The porch covered in flowering Wisteria, the weeping mulberry tree laden with berries, the curved stone driveway, we were determined to make it ours and raise our family in the friendly township. Our offer was rejected and we were devastated but as luck would have it, the offer fell through and we were handed the keys to our new home and our new life in McLaren Flat. We were so proud to be able to celebrate our eldest son's 1st birthday in our cottage, finally we were home!
Bright eyed we were excited to put our own touches on the cottage. We knew with a little love and a lot of hard work we could make the old girl shine once more. It was clear that once upon a time, our little cottage had been loved, and had been a wonderful and cared for home. This was reinforced when we would hear stories about our cottage over the years, once having a road worker knock on the door and ask to look around as he had fond memories being babysat in the home.
We set to work pruning and fertilising the orchard ensuring a bountiful crop of apples, plums, nectarines, lemons & mandarins the following year. We rebuilt the bedrooms from the foundations up stripping away the 70's renovations. We had helped the cottage once again become the cosy home it was built to be. We then added a grand family bathroom in between welcoming our other 2 sons to our family.
