What we have loved most about living at 5 Craig Street
1. I have always enjoyed driving into Craig Street from Hale Road via Buntine Street after dark and seeing the lights of the city laid out behind the dark area of Herdsman Lake.
2. I have loved getting home to this house. Within the house I feel calm and secure, being quite separate even from the closest neighbours, perhaps because there is little of the surrounding houses visible from the house.
3. I love the bright airiness of the upstairs rooms which are more often than not flooded with light. It's a bit like being in a treehouse.
4. The layout of bedrooms and bathrooms has meant that any guests (and resident offspring) have been able to enjoy their own bathroom. They have also been able to enjoy their own entrance through the side door from the breezeway.
5. I like being able to look over the roofs behind the house down to Luketina Oval.
6. I have loved watching the honeyeaters in the garden from the study desk and through the lounge room windows.
7. I have loved walking through the neighbourhood. We walked our dogs on different interesting routes each day of the week.
8. I have enjoyed settling for sleep here. It is hard to believe that nights can be so quiet in an urban setting.
9. We have all enjoyed the friendliness and support of our neighbours.
