'The Doodli' new tavern was opened in 2000 and is situated on a 23 acre block of Salmon and York gums. The construction is steel, brick and corrugated cladding and roofing. The tavern is approximately 500 sq metres and licensed to cater for 400 people. The tavern has a main front bar area that lies parallel with the highway and a bar throughway that leads to two opposing restaurant areas. There is a toilet area on the east side, a disabled toilet and a kitchen, pantry, wet area and staff toilet on the west side of the middle section. The Beer Garden also has male and female toilets. The front bar and rear areas are all cathedral ceilings with the restaurant ceilings being polished stainless steel. There are two mezzanines above the toilet block and kitchen. The kitchen has the ability to handle up to 150 a-la-carte patrons. There is a 12 door cool room, evaporative air conditioners, gas heaters and a tile fire.
The licensed area of the tavern is 10,060sq metres including outside areas. It is supplied with underground power and mains water supply, while sewerage is handled through an aerobic treatment unit that pumps to a sub soil irrigation system under the lawn. The tavern grounds have extensive paved areas including a beer garden, courtyard and pathways. There are also significant landscaped areas, reticulated gardens, trees and lawn.
Attached on the east side by a rated firewall is the residence. It is approximately 200 sq metres with a 2 car garage / workshop of approx 70 sq metres. The residence has 4 bedrooms, while the main bedroom includes a spa en-suite and walk in robe. The residence includes 2 bathrooms, 3 WCs, office, open kitchen, lounge and dining area. It has a 50,000 litre water tank, solar hot water, 2 reverse cycle air conditioners, satellite internet and television. There is a paved covered courtyard at the entrance to the residence and includes gardens and fencing.
