'Woodbine Estate' is where Mr and Mrs Bandy settled after they arrived by boat from England in the 1800s. Back in those days they only selected the best properties to develop a self-sufficient lifestyle. This is a prime example of the yesteryear's.

'Woodbine Estate' is located half an hour north of Gingin. It is alleged that the aged timber to build part of Woodbine cottage came from the cargo of the 'Seabird' (ship) which ran aground at Wedge Island. The timber was collected along the beach at Ledge Point and carted along the old coast track to what was to become 'Woodbine Estate'.
Mr and Mrs Bandy and their family contributed so much to the development of the Moore River.
