Last Listing description (April 2016)

'The Mary Street Centre' building has local significance aesthetically and historically as an example of early garage architecture which was a prominent feature in many country towns in the past. The tall single storey building was built by TP Crothers out of cement block & CGI roof. The high forecourt entry presents a different scale to an otherwise domestic street , with the steel cantilevered awning brackets/supports with circular motives are said to have been salvaged from the Gwalla Station. The building was formerly run as a hardware store as well as a petrol station, and more recently as an auto electrics.
With a zoning of RESIDENTIAL 10 the possibilities are endless.
