Last Listing description (October 2022)

Driving past the "Little Pink House" on Ormond Road is probably not going to impress you much. At a distance, it looks like a standard, slightly bigger than usual asbestos home, but this 1968 built property hides lots of surprises once you step over the threshold or enter into the backyard.

Situated on a large block of 986 m2 the backyard is filled with gorgeous trees, shrubs and flowers boast an insulated and powered shed/sleepout (roughly 5x3 m2) and have a very decent chook pen.

The large back patio catches beautiful winter sun and is the ideal place for a cuppa, sundowner or BBQ while enjoying the myriad of colours, shapes and textures of this well-established, private garden. There is even a spectacular circa 1800's rose bush hidden in a corner.

Enter from the front door into an open plan lounge/dining/kitchen area. The bright green feature wall may look a little ostentatious on the pictures but actually compliments the views to the back yard from the dining area and the views of the flower-filled front yard through the lovely curtains and blinds.

A wood fire in the lounge and a reverse cycle air conditioner in the dining area ensures a cool and/or cosy home throughout all seasons. The home has lovely jarrah floorboards throughout although the lounge/dining and bedrooms are currently carpeted, while vinyl covers the jarrah floors in the corridor and laundry area. An example of the jarrah floors can be seen in the kitchen.

The lounge leads on to a dining area, with direct access to the back patio through a glass sliding door.

The kitchen is modern and freshly tiled in neutral tones with lots of counter space and cupboards. A large picture window takes centre stage allowing natural light to flood into this open area from where you can enjoy the lovely views over the back patio and garden while washing the dishes.

A door separates the open plan area from the rest of the house. Down the corridor on the left is a queen-sized bedroom (roughly 4x5 m2), currently used as a formal dining room. The attractive red feature wall matches perfectly with the quality drapes on the windows.

Next door is the main bedroom roughly 5x5 m2, so a queen-size plus. There aren't any built-in robes in any of the bedrooms but large, free-standing cupboards on the back wall easily fit the space.

A neat, good sized bathroom with a shower and basin is situated opposite the main bedroom. A big skylight ensures lots of natural light during the day.

At the end of the corridor is bedroom 3, currently used as a study. Bedroom 4 is inter-connected with bedroom 3, although a door separates the two. This area would be ideal as kids' bedrooms or a bedroom and playroom, even a study and private guest room as it's situated at the far end of the house. Cluttered bedroom 4 is currently used as a storage room for packing purposes but it's bigger than an average queen-sized bedroom and overlooks the insulated shed and lovely backyard.

To the right of the corridor leading from the kitchen is an open laundry area with a wash trough and linen cupboard. The separate toilet is conveniently situated near the exit onto the patio and within easy reach of living and sleeping quarters.

A convenient carport with an extra parking space beside is in front of the double gates that lead into the backyard. There is plenty of space should you wish to add a double garage or a bigger shed in the yard without losing the garden.

This home offers much more than the standard homes in the area and has been priced for a quick sale. Please note that there won't be any home opens, so qualified buyers are invited to book an appointment with the exclusive agent Jess.
