When we moved we wanted more house space but to remain as close as possible to the main strip. We were also very attracted to the property, which has a great compact design given the number of rooms and open plan space. With the intention (of then) another child we saw the property as ideal in terms of size while providing an interim step in climbing the property ladder. Our intention when we bought was to have a ready rentable property when we moved on to our forever home (at that stage 3 children was very much not contemplated - best laid plans). With a young family, at that stage, not needing a large yard we found the location ideal. The we could walk (and scooter) to cafes with the kids, had two convenient playgrounds in two directions (in front of the City of Vincent Library) and at the western end of Bourke St (which allowed great space for the kids to learn to ride bikes and our dog to have a run). Also Leederville Oval was great to kick a soccer ball. Finally, I should mention it's been wonderful having a great liquor store on the street on my walk home. More than a few times have I stopped for a bottle of wine for dinner."
