Conceived by multi-award winning designer Yael Kurlansky. It took one year to design and one year to be constructed by boutique builder Rob Spadaccini. The superb fit-out was installed by ARQ Designs.
Yael strove for perfection down to the very last detail, adopting a holistic approach which combined all facets of building, interior and landscape design.

With his preference for a slick minimalist style and her preference for a warm classical home, the designer had to adopt some clever skills in order to merge the opposed tastes and achieve a balance.
Picking the colours of a chocolate box she created unity and attained the required warmth. While the combination of stainless steel and stunning European Beech crafted the timeless and comfortable interior she desired.
The design exploits the wide northern aspects of the block by wedging the house into the back of the block and opening up all the living areas to the North. This creates privacy, tranquillity and seclusion for the pool and outdoor living areas which are tucked away behind a chocolate screen wall.
Virtually every room takes advantage of the tree filled park, bursting with sun in winter and shade during the hot summer months, this results in a light and comfortable environment all year round.
On arrival, the light-infused entry welcomes you into a voluminous landing space. Straight ahead the stainless steel and timber staircase takes you up to the master suite. Alternatively, to your right are situated a superb guest suite and a handsomely appointed study while to the left are the open-plan living areas.
Exceptional custom-built furniture graces every room; the lounge boasts a concealed entertainment unit, the dining room a recessed timber wine bar with opaque glass doors and the boutique kitchen offers a concealed pantry, an integrated fridge and dishwasher and a built in American diner style meals area. The well-equipped laundry facility is hidden behind the kitchen, adjacent to the back door and the garage.
Bi-fold doors separate the indoor and outdoor living areas and the eye is drawn out towards the swimming-pool and the landscaped gardens beyond.
