The Original part of Valley View was owned by the Chittering pioneering Martin family until 1953 when it passed to the Robertson family. The forebears of the current owners acquired the property in 1963 and have added the holding that now totals 409 hectares (1010 acres).

The soil types range from friable loam river flats to fertile clay soils to gravel loams. The original vegetation consisted of flood gums, red gums (marri), white gum and jarrah which all indicate the soil types are of a strong fertile nature. The topography ranges from creeks to river flats and then rising hills to the flat top of the range. There are four different creek systems that intersect the property.


Approximately 150ha would be considered cleared with another 200 ha parkland cleared to various stages. The remaining 60 ha is either uncleared or unusable due to rocks, soil types or topography. All the property is grazed with pasture throughout the treed areas.

The property is adequately fenced for its current use of grazing cattle. The fences are of various ages that consist of either ring lock, rabbit netting or plain wire of which some is electrified.



WATER THE FEATURE

The feature of the property is the water supply that consists of 8 large dams and 2 smaller spring fed dams that flow all year. In addition there is a windmill equipped spring and gravity fed troughs. There are numerous spring fed pools in the extensive creek system.

The all steel cattle yards are centrally located with a capacity of 80 100 head. The property currently carrying 80 cows with calves.

IMPROVEMENTS

The house is constructed of brick and iron and was built in the 1960s. The accommodation consists of 2 large bedrooms, a kitchen/family room and a large dining/lounge room with expansive north facing valley views. In addition there is a large bathroom and laundry area. There are expensive verandahs on 2.5 sides of the house for outdoor living.

There is a small brick and iron workshop.

The airstrip is the natural soil, 500 metres long, and is all-weather except for the wettest of seasons.

Mains electricity and landline phone is connected. Television is via a satellite dish and there is good mobile phone coverage.

The property is a private get away with an income from the land that is close to Perth and all services are available from Bindoon
