'Carsim Farms' is a 4,185 Ha grain growing operation located in the Binnu area of the highly regarded Northern wheatbelt shire of Northampton. Available to purchase as a complete operation or on separate parcels.
Established just south of Binnu in 1910 on the home farm Googoolili, this family operation has been developed, improved and increased over the years by 3 generations of astute farmers.

The croppable areas are level to slightly undulating and consist of a balance of heavy red loams, medium yellow sand over gravel and a portion of lighter yellow sand plain. Original vegetation for these soil types comprise York Gum, Jam, Tammar, Tea Tree and Pine. The historically reliable rainfall suggests an average of 350mm annually.

Soil management and health has been an integral component of the cereal, lupin and canola cropping program, with deep ripping and lime applications performed over the properties for many years. Deep ripping is currently completed to a maximum depth of 400mm. Controlled Traffic Farming has also been instrumental in the program, with all machinery operating on a 13.6m or 45' swath width.

'Googoolili', 'Iona', 'Tynedale' and 'Ruffins South' are again experiencing a solid year with approximately 1700 ha of wheat, 750 ha of canola and 650 ha of lupins, making up this year's rotation.
