BEVERLEY VOLUNTEER FIRE BRIGADE

The Beverley Municipal Council merged with the Beverley District Road Board to form the Beverley Road Board and moved to the Mechanic's Hall in 1914.
The decision to merge went to the polls: 240 eligible ratepayers voted 58-17 in favour of amalgamation.
It is quoted that: "
...after 21 years the township of Beverley
lost its autonomy and became the Central Ward of the Beverley Road District."
