Lucky Plains:

This property is the largest farm of the 3 and is ideally located on the Allanooka Springs Road, just 52 km south east of the major regional port of Geraldton. Two titles combine to make up the 3,052-ha property, Lot M714 is 2,749 ha and Lot M351 which is 303 Ha.

The property is well catered for with infrastructure, with the necessary sheds and buildings being of sufficient size for the program. The main residence is a neat 4-bedroom, 1-bathroom brick home with reverse cycle air conditioning. There is also a tidy, 2-bedroom, 1-bathroom Fibro residence, ideal for seasonal workers.

The list of sheds include an 18m x 10m fertiliser shed with 2m concrete walls and a 7 m front apron, a 20m x 14m lockable machinery shed, 16m x 24m open front machinery shed and a 16m x 20m, 4 stand shearing shed with a attached steel yards, capable of working up to 2000 head. On farm grain storage is catered for with the addition of 3 x 500-ton Westeel silos, and further 160 ton through a combination of 6 raised silos.

Lucky Plains achieves enviable cropping efficiencies with large rectangle paddock alignments, slightly undulating, easy working sand and sand over gravel soils and minimal paddock obstructions. Two central, gravelled roads also provide efficient access to the paddocks which is especially helpful at harvest.

Cropping for the 2020 season has approximately 1935 ha of wheat, lupins and canola planted to the bulk of Lot M714, established perennials to 164 ha and the remaining 741 ha of arable land being utilised for livestock.

Water to the property is of spray and domestic quality with large quantities available through the network of bores and tanks.

Marloo:

Marloo Farm is a combination of two neighbouring titles, Lot 100 and Lot M898, which add together to offer 1969 Ha of fertile, easy working, medium sand and sand over gravel soils.

The property is dissected by Connolly Road and stretches in a north south orientation, with large open undulating paddocks. The central laneway services all paddocks and continues through to access the other farms of the aggregation. Fencing is of a very high standard and paddocks and water points are well utilised for the livestock part of the operation.

The main shed area is located off Connolly Road almost central to the farm and provides a 10m x 24m machinery shed, a 14m x 6m fertiliser shed with attached workshop, a 7m x 14m hayshed and a 16m x 20m , 4 stand, raised board shearing shed. The Cyclone, steel sheep yards have an under cover working area and utilising holding yards are suitable for working up to 1200 head.

The cottage is a 3-bedroom, 1-bathroom fibro building that is mainly used as seasonal workers accommodation. Also included in the list of improvements is 4 x 20-25t silos and a 43,000L Flexi-N tank. The southern title, known as Marloo South, has a large 200sqm hayshed and a second set of sheep yards.

Marloo is described as having approximately 1830 arable Ha, of which 600 Ha have been sown to Lupins for the 2020 season. There is 54 Ha of established perennial grasses and the bulk of the remaining land has been spray topped ready for sowing next season.

Water to the property is of spray and domestic quality, abundant and is sourced from 3 bores that distribute through the network via 9 tanks.

Broome Soak:

Broome Soak is 1,948 Ha of undulating sand and sand over gravel soils in the reliable Burma Road locality. Stretching in a north south orientation, efficiency is key to this property with large rectangular paddock that are easily serviced from the dissecting Connolly Road and large central gravelled laneway.

Cropping is rotational with approximately 800 ha planted this season to wheat, lupins and canola, with This property also runs up to 1000 breeding ewes through the well fenced, watered paddocks. There is a steel set of sheep yards located next to the old house off Connolly Road, as well as a small fertiliser shed and very average, older shearing shed. Water for spraying and stock is sourced from 2 reliable bores.

Recent spray topping has been completed to the bulk of the uncropped area, with the property being described as having approximately 1749 ha of arable land.

Broome Soak has been a reliable operation over the years and is poised to take to the next level.
