The first thing you notice and feel when driving into Glenora is the welcoming and calming aspect. An extensive garden surrounds the house complete with circular driveway, soaring ancient trees, numerous large garden beds and a kitchen garden that is boarded by granite rock walls. The large orchard in front of the kitchen garden is watered by drip irrigation and has a great selection of heritage fruit trees including apples, pears, plums, apricot, lemon, orange, grape, mulberry, quince, nectarine, lime, mandarin and walnut. Only a few years ago the property was involved in the Victorian Open Garden Scheme.
Water for the garden is supplied from one of the two spring fed dams that have a capacity of approximately 5 megs. In addition to the dams a 70 metre bore supplies approximately 8,000 litres per day.
