Principles of sustainability have guided the design: Save money from the low energy bills with a solar feed in of 60c per kwh. The north/north easterly orientation allows full winter sunshine to stream into the living areas and the master suite. The clever design of wide eaves and a verandah on the northern and western side of the house means the house is cool all summer. There is also a radiant woodfire heater, ducted gas heating and evaporative cooling and ceiling fans in every room.
