A cherished landmark of majestic heritage in one of Shorehamrsquo;s most coveted locales, the original post office c1890s stands as one of the arearsquo;s earliest public buildings, displaying impressive history within its private park-like gardens.

Originally built by Ellen Byrne, who at the time taught at the original school (opposite) and later became the postmistress, the once-in-a-generation offering rests across an acre (4,312sqm approx.) of low-maintenance land, central to Shoreham Tennis Club, General Store and Foreshore.

As beautiful today as when it was first constructed, the weatherboard facade precedes a series of renovated spaces including an open lounge and dining room with wood heater, an adjoining kitchen with new cabinetry, modern appliances and dishwasher, a formal dining/rumpus with fireplace, three internal bedrooms (two with original fireplaces) and a main bathroom, with additional toilet. The fourth bedroom/study with external access, was a variation to the design during the homersquo;s construction phase, added at the time to accommodate the then post office.
