Plenty of angles here and all with really strong appeal given the bargain price. Also importantly it is located in the old 'Norlane West ' which is the privately owned precinct of this suburb and certainly has strong desirability for homeowners and renters alike.
Perhaps the simplest solution would be to give it makeover and live in/rent out.
Maybe just a makeover makes this seem a little too easy to do. Quite frankly there is a lot of work to do here and the house would need a total renovation. Having done that though it is a great solution to fix it up and then reap the rent or live in happily. It certainly has other scope though. Once again given its pricing the opportunity to build a unit in the back would be ideal as would even knocking it down and building 2 units.

Whatever your plan is rest comfortably in the fact that you're not paying too much for the house, it's only up to you what your investment is from there.
