In addition to year-round consideration of light and solar access, the design is laid out with secure cross ventilation high on the agenda whether it be in the living quarters, bedrooms or the entry gated breezeway.

By design the dwelling is intended to blend into the landscape, emerging to create height and half volumes experienced internally in the living and main bedroom. An ode to the traditional Mount Martha beach house, the skin and bones have been carefully selected with robust masonry offsetting the cladding. Bold interiors utilise a palette of Italian terracotta, walnut travertine, venetian plastering and walnut timber joinery.
