It is also on one of Melbourne's prized boulevards St Kilda Rd. If you stay between September and May it is a shady and beautiful green street worth taking a walk across the road to the Botanical Gardens or Fawkner Park. 100m behind the building is Albert Park.
Melbourne is the place to eat out, and there is a huge choice. You don't need to walk more than 50 m to eat or drink well, but you are in Melbourne so we also recommend that you explore other areas of the city too, so jump on that tram
Every inbound tram goes into the City and they are literally seconds apart. Outbound trams go to a variety of suburbs. You are a short tram trip from Flinders St Station, or a 10 minute walk to South Yarra station. There are taxis going past at all hours, so you can hail one right outside, you never have to book.
The Neighbourhood
St Kilda Road is one of the most famous tree lined boulevards in Melbourne. It is a quick 10-15 min walk into the city or to Chapel st. If you just want to relax in the area there are many restaurants across the road and around including a nice bar The Amberoom at the Royce hotel a 24/7 McDonalds, Subway, Italian restaurant and several asian restaurants
Getting Around
Getting around is really easy, there are trams stop 100m away getting you into the city in around 5-6 mins. Outbound trams go to various suburbs such as the famous St Kilda beach which is only a 10 min tram trip.However why not just walk and enjoy Melbourne at its best with only a 10-15 min walk into the city it is the best way to explore Melbourne
