In 1937 it was converted into a house with extra windows cut into the stone, fireplaces added and a stairway built to access the large area upstairs and convert it into 2 large bedrooms. Stained glass was inserted into the original cell windows and the huge front door but the iron bars were sawn off! It can still be seen where they were.
