The external home design is a take on the Scandinavian Barn House, blending the natural charm of timber with light tones, fitting effortlessly into the countryside with Nordic simplicity. The interior design is a continuation of the neutrality, with a 'less is more' sentiment, a truly Japanese minimalistic fit-out, curated by the owner/designer to exploit the surrounding scenery from every room. Polished concrete floors, designer concrete blocks and hardwood ply are common themes throughout, complimented by extravagant extras and tonal colour schemes.
Though our favourite 'extra' feature sits outside of the home, the colossal colorbond shed comes with its own miniature bar, affectionately named the "Glen Forbes pub."

Internally, from the Eastern end, ready to cultivate the morning light as it rises over the hills, is the expansive living, kitchen and dining retreat. The space boasts enormously high cathedral ceilings, towering double glazed glass windows & doors, and 2 Australian hardwood columns, creating an elegantly refined country atmosphere. The living space, which faces down into the Bass Valley, has a Cheminees Philippe wood heater, fitted to a custom-built, raised concrete hearth and linen drapes (which are present throughout the home). The modern kitchen is encircled by Caesarstone benchtops, whitewashed oak cabinetry and riverine contour boards, another gorgeous Japanese feature that is scattered throughout the home.

Through the centre of the house, each room (including the laundry), offer South facing views into the distance. There are 2 extra-large bedrooms with built-in robes, a separate W/C and laundry and a beautifully designed bathroom. The bathroom has a solid surface freestanding bath, Japanese "Inax Mougin tiles" from Artedomus and a unique, custom-built vanity. At the end of the hall on the Western end, next to the double garage, sits the massive master bedroom, with a walk-in robe and a stunningly tasteful ensuite, again with its own custom caesarstone vanity and minimalist features.

Externally, the property presents itself as a versatile hobby farm. Currently supporting livestock and a number of horses. There is abundant potential to explore viticulture, horticulture or an orchard, to produce endless food supply for the family or for additional income.
