The biennial Arts Festival and the annual Jazz Festival, are high profile events in a town which also boasts monthly art and farmer's markets, and some of the best restaurants and cafes outside of Melbourne. It has all the usual conveniences, movies, supermarkets, parks, schools and a flourishing U3A.
