Originally sold to Thomas Thwaites in May 1858 and constructed during Thwaites purchasing the land (1858) and 1864, 'Rosemary Cottage', this sandstone cottage is an example of the Victorian Georgian style of early Tasmanian architecture. Having changed ownership several times during the early 1870's from 1890's from Thwaites to a Patrick Clark and selling part of the original land grant to Sarah Robotham. In recent times, the property has only had two owners since 1984.
