The Oatlands Retreat (built in 2007) is a very private, self-catering unit with two bedrooms; a sunny living room; combined dining room and well-appointed kitchen; as well as a large bathroom with laundry. It has off-street parking for two vehicles and a sheltered courtyard. The business is currently managed mainly through on-line booking sites making it easy to monitor and co-ordinate from anywhere.
Even in the quieter times, there can be last minute bookings from people who have just discovered the area and wish to stay on and explore further. The Retreat has gained an excellent reputation and there are many visitors who return again and again. It has also been used for longer-term rentals and comes fully-furnished.
The Laundromat is well utilised by both the locals and passing tourists. Oatlands is a very popular stop point for caravan and motor home travellers who appreciate the chance to freshen up their linen, clothes etc. The laundrette has 8 washing machines and 4 dryers, all of which are coin operated. All of the machines are owned out-right and stay with the business.
