For those who enjoy an early morning surf, Roaring Beach is one of Tasmania's premier surf locales. From the water, looking back to the beach, it still looks as it always has, unchanged for millennia.
And for those lookin for the ultimate ride, just round the corner, you have Shipstern's Bluff, with some of the biggest waves in the world.
Whether you are looking to put up a weekender or a family residence, the land itself can provide you with all the materials you need to make a start. There is an abundance of gorgeous sandstone and plenty of native timbers to build something that blends in seamlessly with the environment.
If you enjoy bushwalking, there is no need to ever leave home. A natural cliff-scape that calls out to be explored runs through the surrounding landscape and comes to a natural end point just across from the home site.
Below the cliffs and caves there is a winter stream that takes you to 'Hanging Rock' - a fallen giant where the stream somehow magically reappears. From the top of the cliffs, the views are even more expansive, looking over the home site, Roaring Beach, Storm Bay to the Roaring Forties.
For something a little further from home The Tasman Peninsular National Park and recently finished Three Capes walk is poised to become one of the worlds best overland walks.
For those lovers of wild creatures, there is a plethora of birdlife, with white bellied sea eagles close to the beaches and majestic wedge-tailed sea eagles often be seen riding the winds above the cliffs. Plenty of wombats, wallabies, echidna's and the like on the ground.
The township of Nubeena with schools and town services is approximately a 15 minute drive away.
