This amazing building was constructed in 1920 and now sits on approx. 3 acres of land that adjoins the 40,191 acres that form the Mount Field National Park. The area is famous for its spectacular scenery, world renowned trout waters, adventure activities etc. and all this just over an hours drive from Hobart.
The main bar area has been recently updated to include a beautiful bar top of laminated local timbers; a reverse cycle air conditioner; a flat screen TV (for those important sporting events); and a resurfaced billiard table. The Hotel is licenced for take away sales and well as bar service.
Accessed through the main bar is the 45 seat dining room with its own fireplace, bar servery and dance floor. It is a popular spot for wedding receptions and other special events as well as catering to the many visitors to the area over the tourist season. The kitchen is just across the hall and boasts a new stainless steel stove, a well-vented frying area, plenty of storage cupboards, fridges, freezers, dishwasher and the original (huge) slow combustion stove.
