Situated on the fertile rolling hills of Lileah is this well managed, 350 hectare dairy farm. Currently milking 550 cows the property is operated as 2 separate milking platforms and approximately 25% of the total area a designated as a dry stock block. 220 cows are milked through a 20 S/O dairy that has a 5,000 litre milk silo and 330 cows through a 36 S/O dairy with ACR s that has a 11,500 litre milk silo. Production for the 2014/15 season is on target to reach 202,000 milk-solids. The property is currently operated very efficiently with an extremely low cost system, a minimum of high cost feeds are used. There is 110 hectares of irrigation applied to permanent pastures through 2 centre pivots and a K-line system, which are fed from an on farm stored entitlement of 450megs. Pastures are predominately rye grass and clover and soil fertility is excellent with Olson P s of 25-30 across the property.
The farm has an excellent automated calf rearing facility with up to 220 calves annually being reared.
The property is offered bare. A W.I.W.O. price is available on request with 550 dairy cows, 110 R1 s, 20 herd bulls and farm machinery. The herd is predominately LIC genetics with the cows bred specifically for the pasture based system that is in place.
