It has been a much-loved family holiday retreat for many years helping create wonderful memories of fishing, exploring, tall-tales around the campfire and spending quality time away from stress and distractions.

The shack was built in 1990 (mains power connected in 2008) and the property has been set up to be as low maintenance as possible. The cabin has 2, large bedrooms (both with built-in robes and second one set up as a bunk room); an open plan kitchen (with gas stove and breakfast bar), dining and living room; and a combined bathroom/laundry. The house is kept cosy with a large wood heater.


A wide, timber deck along the front of the cabin is a wonderful spot to soak up the sun and unwind from a day of fishing. This property has wide access to get vehicles, caravan and the boat in (the boat ramp just down the road). Lake Crescent is a wide, shallow body of water famous for Trophy Trout (both Brown and Rainbow) and near-by Lake Sorell has recently reopened to anglers after an intensive Carp Management Program.

Interlaken is a collection of permanent residents, holiday homes and farms located approx. 30 minute drive to Bothwell and the same to Oatlands which has a Hospital, District School, IGA Supermarket, Post Office, Bank and great cafes. Hobart is just over an hour and a half away while Launceston is about the same to the north.
