It is not often that a piece of the original Langmeil settlement becomes available for sale.
Established in early 1843 when German settlers from Klemzig moved North to the Barossa and settled on these sections north of the original Tanunda subdivision.
In 1859 this strip of land was owned by J Gotthilf Hamdorf and in the 30s the site was used by the Klose Family as a trucking depot carting grapes from the Riverland amongst other things and after the war the Klose Family used the site for the disposal of army goods.

After this the site was used for a winery by Mr Chris Vohrer from whom Mr Rolf Binder purchased the property and renamed the winery Veritas Wines.
Approx 8,300m in area this property has absolute river frontage with the centre of the river forming the boundary to the West. On the Southern boundary is an original German Cottage that is heritage listed and is constructed of random stone.
Other improvements to the property is the original Veritas Winery which is approx. 555m in area and with council consent could possible be demolished to build the ideal dream home or be used for some other activity being on a tourist route.
There are two other substantial sheds that could be used to house the car collection or store more wine and would not be in way of building a home.
There are numerous fruit trees one of which is a magnificent old fig tree that could possibly by 100 year old and provides an ideal leafy retreat to enjoy that afternoon drink under.
The river with its large permanent water hole is a large feature of this property and would become one of the main attractions of any future landscaping.
All of this in one, the most historic positions in the Barossa and also one of the prettiest, all within walking distance to town facilities
