This is held in Innes National Park at Chainman s every October long weekend. Innes offers amazing history dating back into the early century and some of the most unique coastlines and attractions in South Australia. Being at the bottom of the Peninsula offers the chance to fish in two gulfs, the gulfs of Spencer or the Gulf of St Vincent. Both gulfs offer a different style of fishing, the St Vincent Gulf offers mouth-watering King George Whiting and the Spencer Gulf massive snapper. Both of these gulfs including the passage in between Kangaroo Island, offering the widest range of fish species, from the tasty Garfish to the unstoppable Kingfish. Whether you want a bag of fish or you prefer a giant Crayfish, this area offers all fisherman a day of excitement. If you do not have a boat, never mind, as the beach fishing is going to give you a fishing experience you won't forget. Browns beach offers some of the best Salmon fishing in the state, but if you do not like this style of fishing, try your hand at some rock fishing, or just relax on the jetty catching some of the largest squid in the state. Driving through the park is an experience in itself, you will come across all sort of wildlife, including the Western Grey Kangaroos, Emus and the area's diverse bird life. Mallee Fowl, Western Whipbird, White-bellied Sea-eagles and Ospreys habitat the area.
