VENDORS POINTS OF INTEREST:
Our home was built with a passion for design, quality and integrity, and with particular attention to detail and premium finishes.
As a young working couple we wanted a low maintenance home that provided functionality and space, and that complimented our social lifestyle, and this was certainly achieved.
We partnered with a high-end builder with whom we designed this stunning custom built home. The interior and exterior of the home is distinctly modern with a neutral colour palette, complimented and warmed with walnut stained timber floors, and windows, external doors and outdoor deck all custom made from western red cedar wood. From the moment people arrive at our custom timber front door, press the intercom and walk in to the entry hall, they are impressed - feeling wowed by the size of the home and warm finishes and furnishings.
Skilled and experienced tradesman executed their craftsmanship on this home and the quality is evident in the exceptional finishes. From the quality of the render work around the whole exterior of the house, exposed aggregate driveway and paths, walnut stained hardwood floors, 300x600 floor to ceiling porcelain tiles with mitered edges, high 2.7m ceilings with square set cornices, and detail of the outdoor entertainment area's walnut timber ceiling - it is evident that there is no detail missed.
We love to entertain, and the living and outdoor areas were designed with this in mind. The spacious living room is enhanced with 8.2 metres of window panels and glass doors taking you out to the 50sqm of decking, providing a seamless indoor/outdoor feel. In the summer the 2.3m glass door opens to extenuate that feeling, and it has been a perfect space for large gatherings of friends and family. The alfresco was designed and built with a walnut stained timber slat ceiling with a 2400w Maxiheat slimline radiant heater, whilst the 4m long free standing tiled BBQ, covered by an alucobond wrapped roof and ceiling, looks great and provides exceptional functionality.
The kitchen was designed and built with floor to ceiling two-pac cupboards and soft closing drawers, fitted-out with stainless steel Smeg stovetop, oven and range hood, and a Bosch built in dishwasher. The 3.65m long island bench with 40mm thick Ceaser stone benchtop provides plenty of food preparation area, and is finished off with two sides of two-pac cupboards, ensuring an abundance of storage space.
The main bedroom is modern with a great feel, and provides a place of rest and relaxation. The walk in robe features ample storage space, with floor to ceiling dark timber grain doors making it feel warm and the perfect passage to the ensuite - one of our favourite details in the home with every tile carefully selected to ensure the natural flow of the marbling pattern... it took tens of hours to select and strategically lay each single tile, but truly looks great!
Our second and third bedrooms are light and spacious, one with plantation shutters and double doors opening out to the back decking, and the other with floor to ceiling timber windows. Both are equipped with sleek built in wardrobes and are on a separate hallway to the rest of the house, providing easy access to the main bathroom. The main bathroom and laundry continue the modern feel with floor to ceiling charcoal and white tiles and white cupboards and vanity units.
Dernancourt has provided us with a lifestyle of convenience and comfort, beyond expectation. With the Derancourt Village at the end of our street, fresh fruit and vegetables, bread, flowers, the post office, groceries and importantly choices of weekend brunch spots - we really don't need to venture far.
