City at your Fingertips
We often here the old clich?? in property speak: ???You can leave your car at home???. Well, here you really can do that.
Let's talk location! We are in a part of Woolloongabba that adjoins the Mater Hill precinct. From Trinity Lane it is such an easy walk into the central CBD or down to Southbank with its restaurants, markets and the riverside promenades which may well become your weekend playground or daily exercise zone. Personally, my walking buddies and I regularly use the riverside walkways for our own exercise routine and we solve the problems of our worlds as we pound the pavements in the pre-dawn light. It really is one of Brisbane's most beautiful scenes. But I digress. From Trinity Lane it is just a stroll whereas for me, I need to climb into the car each time to get here!

Now, if you are a cricket or AFL nut, then the hallowed grounds of the ???Gabba are a few minutes??? walk in the opposite direction. Maybe you work at the Mater Hospital or have children attending one of the renowned local secondary schools ??? for example Brisbane State High. This is inner city living at its best. Oh, and did I mention that you will be spoilt for choice for restaurants within walking distance. How good would that be?
Here we have a home filled with the sought after classic character of the true Queenslander colonial home. There is a wide welcoming verandah and handsome front door, complete with side lights. A central hallway opens through to the lounge with the traditional layout of bedrooms on each side at the front of the house. The floors are the wide honey coloured polished pine boards. There are ???coat of arms??? fretwork panels above the bedroom doors, French doors opening out to the verandahs and high ceilings. The rooms are generous with all three bedrooms considered as double rooms. All of the bedrooms open to the vernadas and the side verandah has been screened off for privacy.
Both the kitchen and bathroom have had renovations in recent years to bring them up to our current expectation of modern functionality although the bathroom has kept in character with a clawfoot bath alongside the modern shower recess. The lie of the land allows the dining room and kitchen to open out at ground level to a double tiered back terrace and BBQ area. The highset aspect of the home at the front provides for a huge amount of future scope underneath though currently there is a large store room and space for car accommodation. The front garden has the luxury of space for extra off street parking as well, a prised extra in this location.
The block is more generous than many inner city lots at 551m2. There are security gills so in the true tradition of the Queenslander home you can leave doors open and the breeze floats through. On a practical note, there is easy access to public transport with a state of the art bus station a short stroll away or you can be on the freeway in moments.
