The internal stairs take you to the spacious upper level. It comprises of four bedrooms, two bathrooms, a lounge/dining room, and a kitchen. The open-plan living area has ceiling fans and air conditioning for the summer and a cosy wood fire for cold nights in June and July. (lol) The first thing you will notice is a blank canvas on the wall at the top of the stairs. "What is that? " I hear you say. It is a screen for the ceiling projector, so you can watch absolutely anything available on pay TV on the widescreen on the wall. Let the kids have downstairs; this belongs to Mum and Dad.

The kitchen is more of a galley than a full kitchen, but it has everything: a wall oven, an under-bench 6-burner gas stove, a dishwasher, plenty of pantry space, and laminated benchtops. The twin sink has a black hand-spray-like faucet, and a breakfast bar is at the entrance to the cooking space.

Follow the hallway from the loungeroom to the three bedrooms, laundry, and bathroom. You could use these as is for the interim, but with some creative re-designing, you could magically turn this into a stunning home.

The bathroom has a working shower and vanity, but it is waiting for your creative intervention. There is a separate toilet beside the laundry, slate flooring in the hallway, and wet rooms.

Off the lounge room is the main bedroom. It has an ensuite and a glass sliding door with balcony access, allowing natural light to awaken your slumber. Can you imagine lying back in bed and seeing the sun come up over Straddie? What a way to wake up.

All east-facing glass sliding doors open onto the back verandah, where cool breezes and breathtaking views of the surroundings make for a perfect setting for relaxation and outdoor gatherings.
