The cottage has recently been renovated but retains its soul and charm. Original features and materials have been retained or recycled wherever possible - including the original old timber floorboards that have been waxed to retain their character and warmth. The kitchen, bathroom and laundry have been entirely replaced. However, the original old cast iron bath has been re-enamelled and sunken into the bathroom floor.

Entry to the home is up stone and timber steps featuring a hand forged steel balustrade in art nouveau style, which trails up to a side landing and the front verandah and original cedar front door. The front door opens to a surprisingly large, light filled living room with a view through the kitchen to the back yard greenery. Original old French doors open to the side landing and bi-fold casement windows catch the breezes and views.

All three bedrooms are generous and will fit a queen bed. Each bedroom has a recess which can be used as a wardrobe if needed. The main bedroom has an adjoining sunroom with lots of light. Original Art Deco French doors connect this room to the main bedroom.

The kitchen has been replaced entirely with brand new stainless steel appliances including dishwasher, dual free standing gas hotplates and electric oven and rangehood. The original concrete floor has been retained and polished to give an industrial feel. Recycled silky oak French doors open out from the kitchen to al fresco dining under a recycled hardwood pergola and a sunny grassed back yard. Casement windows open out from the kitchen bench to a little garden that could be used for herbs or vegetables.
