GREAT BEACHES FOR KIDS AND WHEN YOU WANT TO SURF YOU'VE GOT MAIN BEACH, 32 KILOMETERS OF IT. AFTER WALKING THE NORTHERN BEACH YOU ROUND THE POINT TO FRENCHMAN'S BEACH AND THEN AN OPPORTUNITY TO VACILLATE: WILL YOU USE THE STAIRS OR IS THE TIDE LOW ENOUGH TO CLIMB THROUGH THE BAT CAVE THEN UP THE ROCKY FACE TO THE CAFES. COFFEE AND CROISSANT IS SO DELIGHTFUL AFTER A BEACH WALK, AND THEN EITHER WALK BACK ALONG THE ROAD OR CATCH THE BUS IF YOUR TIMING IS GOOD.THE KEYHOLES, OR WARRAMAN LAGOONS ARE REALLY ONLY KNOWN FOR THE LOCALS AND ITS BEEN FUN TO SNEAK IN THERE FOR A PICNIC, AND EVEN PUT THE CANOE IN. THE OTHER FRESHWATER LAKES ARE DIFFERENT AGAIN AND BLUE LAKE IS MY FAVOURITE. I LOVE THAT YOU CAN GET TO PLENTY OF INTERESTING PLACES ON STRADDIE WITH JUST A NORMAL CAR, AND IF YOU HAVE A FOUR WHEEL DRIVE THERE'S EVEN MORE EXPLORING TO DO.STRADDIE IS SO UNKNOWN AND RIGHT ON OUR DOORSTEP.
