Breaking News: due to the present pandemic, we have all our booking for short term rental cancelled. So then we have decided to rent our fisherman cottage, for sea lovers, FULLY FURNISHED, for a period of 6 months, with Netflix and NBN included.
This 1950 fisherman cottage has been nicely renovated to modern standard though it is not a luxury place, it is nice, clean with all modern amenities. Having a bbq in the front garden watching the water is a beautiful experience.
The main bedroom is spacious with a queen size bed, the second bedroom contains 2 single beds and there is a sofa bed in the entrance lobby.
The living area is a big open space with:

Big flat screen with NETFLIX
The kitchen has all the essentials
The lobby has a folded sofa/bed (single)
There is one bathroom with a shower (though quite small), plus second separate toilet
In the shed you can use:

1 single sea kayak
2 single river kayaks

The train station is just under 15 minutes walk to go to Brisbane CBD or to the Gold Coast.
From the house you can cycle, walk or run following the waterfront to Manly and Wynnum and enjoy the Manly market on Saturdays/Sundays.
Lota creek is also a beautiful Aussie bushwalking experience, the track starts from Brenda's little foot Bridge on Bowering Street, under 10 minutes walk from our house.
Right from the front of your doorstep from Queen Victoria boat ramp, there is 2 hours kayaking in one direction in the famous Tingalpa Creek.
There are 2 nice playgrounds and parks for children nearby, one facing the front of the property for toddlers and little kids and another one under 10 minutes walk for older kids. Opposite the park for older kids, there are 2 fish and chips and burger shops Lota Takeaway and Bart's Place.
The Royal Queensland Yatch Squadron in Manly is 20 minutes walk, it is a Sailing Academy and offers a wide range of nationally recognised learn to sail and sailing related courses in both dinghies, keelboats, multihulls and boards.
Moreton Bay Day Cruises departs from William Gunn Jetty Manly.
In Lota on the way to the Train Station there is a basket ball court and bike, skateboard and scooter's concrete slopes. A little bit further at Lota State School there is a Tennis Court that can be booked online at for $8.
