ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS TWO STOREY POLE HOME ON 3776 M2 AT KURANDA >>> NOW $496,000 NEGOTIABLE !!!
Don’t be surprised if the first thing you do when you see this house in Kuranda is to buy it!
Its that Good!!

This charming home is located in an enviably, peaceful and private location, whilst still being within an easy drive to Cairns.
The house is located towards the rear of the allotment. The many photographs will show that it is well surrounded by mature rainforest trees.
This means that the air temperature is cool & relaxing. In addition, this coolness attracts many butterflies and a variety of native birds: Whip Bird, Rifle Bird, Sun Bird to mention just a few.
In fact when I was taking the photographs, a very friendly just bush-hen wanders by!
All of these unique natural features add to the relaxing rainforest ambience that surrounds this two storey timber pole home.
The carpentry work is to a high standard as evident by the attention to detail to several parts of the home.
The tall poles are Turpentine wood whereas the rest of the home, including the weatherboard, decking, handrails are all build from Cypress Pine which is known for its resistance to Termites.
The two storey structure is surrounded by a variety of mature rainforest trees. A circular drive takes you past the front of House to a huge shed located at the rear.
This shed is BIG! There are three bays which are each 4.5 metres wide and at least 10 metres deep. In addition there is 15 Amp Industrial grade electricity supply, just perfect for heavy duty applications.
Now getting back to the House!
A flight of timber stairs with generously proportioned treds take you to the First floor. Here a wide entrance way with a stylish timber door leads you into a large open plan lounge/living area.
The first thing you notice is the very high vaulted ceilings with exposed beam construction.
The high ceilings serve to keep the home cool whilst creating a definite sense of space.
To the right there is a lavish kitchen with solid varnished timber tops with attractive work areas.
Whilst at the opposite end a large French door opens onto a deck.
This area being on the second level is naturally elevated and from here you can enjoy the close presence of the many rainforest trees and birds.
This is where you entertain your friends and pretty much spend most of your time!
But should you wish to watch a bit of widescreen TV or a Video maybe, there is a really cosy private area set up just for this purpose.
Oh... and another thing...
All of the windows in this house are simply big sheets of glass in a timber frame, that open out onto the rainforest setting.
This allows you to take in all of the outside scenery!
In fact it helps to bring the “outside into the house”
The floors are timber and are polished to high effect.
Just past the kitchen there is an entrance to the master bedroom.
This room again has that huge panel window, high ceilings and views out to the swaying trees just outside. Nearby there is a walk-in robe which leads you to a luxurious ensuite.
“Where are all the rest of the bedrooms...?” You say!
In an unobtrusive part of the main lounge there is a flight of stairs which curve down to the lower level.
All wood again and beautiful too!
Here there is the bathroom, laundry and three very spacious bedrooms with the same big windows.
All those windows mean that downstairs is light and bright.
A small landing adjacent to the downstairs stairs lead you outside onto a deck sort of arrangement.
From here you can clearly see the 3 bay shed set against a backdrop of rainforest trees.
Summing up I have got to say that this home is like visiting one of the Best Resorts in and around Cairns ...
The high ceilings, lavish use of rainforest timbers, generous windows, large covered decks with views, quality kitchen, bedrooms and use of timber, all add up to a feel of luxury and serenity.
Come and look for yourself.
Priced at $496,000.
