Last Listing description (October 2013)

Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend.
Diamond Head was our secret spot that few knew about. We raised our children here - a safe harbour from the traffic and hype. Now others have caught onto what we knew all along and those we brand as trendies are moving in - renovating, pulling down and rebuilding. These trendies are all different ages - baby boomers cashed up building the new white, bright clean properties, the upwardly mobile y generation and the astute tradies are snapping up properties to renovate and expand or sit on and wait.
How is it they never saw before that this is one of the best spots to live in Caloundra and the cr?me de la cr?me of Diamond Head is The Esplanade.

The Esplanade during the week is a peaceful haven, a place to sit on your deck and soak in the morning sun and check out the millpond waters of the passage, watch the pelicans glide onto the fishing ramp to snap up the scraps from the fisherman. Wander down to the jetty and check out the locals buckets to see what is on the bite. Push the tinnie in from the boat ramp and check the overflowing crab pots. (Not that ours ever seem to overflow but our brother-in-laws do!) Watch the little ones play in the park, go for walks with the dog, take the children/grandchildren down for a safe swim, ride your bikes into town (only 4klms) on the pathway beside the water. Kayak up the passage over to Bribie for a surf swim and beach fish. Ah the Serenity!
Then on the weekend it explodes into a joyful frenzy of activity. People come from everyone, laughter abounds in the park as the ski boats and jet skiers get the place rocking with fun. Kids being towed on tubes - having the time of their lives, families cranking up the barbies or indulging in fish and chips. (We locals catch heaps of our own - well our brother-in-law does!) Some seriously beautiful boats with mighty men of the sea arrive and the water becomes alive with passionate fishermen and their families, all out hunting for the big ones. It is so great to see families having wholesome fun and kids enjoying themselves plus of course our own families reaping the benefits of our choice of home.
If you want every day the same - Diamond Head Esplanade is not the place for you - if you love moments of great peace balanced with pure laughter filled fun then come on over the bridge - I have the home for you.
The Captains Quarters is a home for those who love the water - who want to see it, fish it, swim it, kayak it, explore it or just laze on the deck and smell it and feel the cool breezes on a sparkling summer day.
A home with great bones and endless possibilities or just enjoy it as it is (very nice) and lock up and leave when you want to travel.
The difference between a dream and reality is taking action.
