We have lived here for 15yrs and brought our three young teens up here. As you can imagine there has been a lot of great memories created for us here. We decided this was the property for us for a number of reasons. Firstly, being a very quiet location on acreage really meant that our privacy was secure, and with three noisy teenagers and the occasional party happening, we didn't annoy neighbours with excessive noise.
The men of the family are mad fishermen and, having the track leading to the beach right opposite the property was a definite positive. Needless to say, there has been many enjoyable moments catching fish, pumping yabbies and lots of walks with our dogs. Nice to see the horses on the beach having a splash too.
Our sons rode motocross for a time and, so, having the acreage for them to practice was also a plus.
Another tick box for us was the shed. Plenty of room for everything and 3 phase power connected. We actually lived in the shed while our home was built. Having a small bathroom and plenty of storage meant that we could store all our belongings in complete lockup security and at the time the kids thought that it was like camping out! The shed is really one of a kind. Stable and tack room included if you have a horse.
Our home has been wonderful to us. Plenty of room to be as close or as solitary as you desire. We have many memories of the family swimming in the pool whilst watching the fun from the kitchen window. Needless to say, we had many times just relaxing on the back verandah with a cool drink and enjoying the serenity. Lots of bird watching with all different breeds including our resident kingfishers that live near our dam.
I can't tell you how much we have loved our time here and how hard it is to let go of. However, we now find ourselves in the grey nomad time of life and with our children now leading their own lives we have decided that it is time to downsize. This is a pretty special spot in our little town of Beachmere and I hope the next owners will love living here just as we have.
