Around the pool are grape & yellow/ black passionfruit vines where you can work on the tan, swim & shower during the day or relax in the spa with champagne & the pool light shimmering off the coconut trees at night.
Organic means that many thousands of dollars of compost, hay, certified organic Humic & fluvic acids have been bought in along with 10kg of dynamic lifter per planting. Organic plants sourced from Tropiculture Australia, Daleys Nursery & Eden seeds.
The walk from the pool gate to the house is past Carambola (or Starfruit), AMBARELLA, PEANUT BUTTER tree & Mandarin trees.
An Asian greens bed is located2m from the back door then Lemonade, Grumichama cherry & Lemon trees surround the second bed of herbs & veg.
The rear garden is home to magnificent Amazon & Asian fruit trees , Barbados Cherry, Rangpur lime, Abui , Black Jaboticaba, Brazil Cherry (Pitanga) & Grumichama under planted with Thai basil, Sweet Leaf , Pandan , Brazil Spinach, Amaranth, Viet mint, Galangal & Cardamom with a giant Papaya.
Taking up the back are Loquat, Red Cashew & Cassava, behind the shed are a native finger lime & Australian native Bush Lemon.
A private Bar B Q area has been created at the rear of the garage with a box garden bed & an Amazon Rollinia deliciosa taking pride of place.
The walk to the shed is past Tahitian Lime, Tangelo, potted Bay, Royal Thai black chilli, XO Hot chillies, Kiffar Lime, another rare wild Finger lime , Florida lime, West Indian Lime, Native lime, Mulberry , Papaw, yellow Cashew, another Loquat & Abui. Lemon grass & sweet potato are also present. A large PANAMA BERRY (Malay Cherry) provides us & many exotic birds sweet berries. The watering system is a combination of electronic Micro spray & rotary spray.

At the front gate is a Wondrous Wrightia (Sacred Buddhist, Water Jasmine, Wild Water Plum), the front garden was planted with colour & fragrance in mind (Michelia Champaca), but also to provide privacy. Australian natives were planted outside the 3rd bedroom which is a honeyeater bird haven. There are Exotic fruits here also, Pitanga & Davidson Plum.
Except for the palms (see Google street view , the 12/07 starting point), the entire gardens are only 3 years old & planted to provide food at the back & Private fragrance at the front.
Extensive consultation was carried out with Tropiculture Australia's Mr. Chris Nathanael in the final selection of fruit trees & special fertilizers sourced through Landmark & Yates resulting in an amazing array of tropical fruit, fragrant gardens & wildlife surrounded by other long term home owners with great gardens.
This house is up to 3 Degree cooler than houses without the lush green surrounds & the trees protect the house from strong storms by taking the brunt of the force.
Green Tree frogs & families of tiny Finches, Fig birds & Honeyeaters also live here.
Many Lizards call the gardens home & help control bugs.
The renovations were suspended due to an overseas relocation opportunity, thus allowing a new owner to take advantage of the lower purchase price.
The home is secure with master keyed dead locks & security screens but this is in a very good area of Darwin. The back yard has 4 floodlights to enjoy the evenings & the pool has a light also.
