The house has been carefully modified to provide maximum passive cooling efficiency within its design constraints. The result is the house stays markedly cool in the heat and greatly reduces the need for air-conditioning. The roof has been treated with a modern heat-reflective sealant that reflects 99% of all UV Rays. As well as this it is fully insulated with Fibre Batts and also includes gable end vents and two whirly birds that provide airflow bias.
A 3300 Litre per Minute All House extraction fan has been placed in the centre corridor. This enables the hot air during the day to be replaced rapidly and efficiently by cool exterior air after the sun has gone down therefore once again reducing the need for air-conditioning.
The pool has recently had an upgrade of the filter matrix and has been replaced with a volcanic glass medium. This ensures maximum cleaning capacity and minimal chemical usage.
