The atmospheric dwelling and the extensive garden make this property a perfect place to call home. It also lends itself to becoming a venue for events such as weddings, a restaurant or a boutique horticultural enterprise (STCA, of course)
The property itself is just under 9.5 acres 8 of which are maintained and 1.5 are agisted. The land is flood free and slopes slightly from West to East. The property fronts onto Fogwells Road but also has access to Murphys Road.

THE HOUSE an original Queensland Colonial was brought down from Brisbane some 20 years ago and was sited in the then partly established garden. The house is high set and could easily be built in underneath. The under-the-house area is currently used for garaging and storage.
The house has wrap around verandahs across the front and two sides. There are 2 bedrooms (one with reverse cycle AC) - each having 2 sets of French Doors opening onto the verandah. A central hallway leads into a large open living area. The kitchen is situated off the living area and the bathroom is accessed via an enclosed verandah on the Eastern side where it enjoys morning sun streaming in through a floor to ceiling window.
There are polished floorboards throughout the living area, bedrooms and hallway, a tiled floor in the kitchen and painted floorboards in the bathroom. At the back of the house there is a 45 sq. m. deck.
There is a newly installed butterfly staircase at the front of the house.
The house enjoys 45,000 litres of rainwater storage in 2 tanks adjacent to the
house.
Next to the house there is a double-brick and tile studio or retreat which functions as the third bedroom.
The house has been sited to face North. There is a lawn in front of the house which sweeps down to a dam beyond which there are views to distant mountains. There is a small island in the middle of the dam accessed by a Monet inspired bridge.
THE GARDEN has been well planned with formal garden rooms enclosed by hedges, informal areas as well as various allees with vistas along them. There are many established and some quite rare native trees including 3 kinds of Flindersia, enormous Brush Boxes, Lilly Pillys and Foambark trees including an enchanted circle of Foambarks. There are also many fruit trees including Citrus, Persimmon, Custard Apple, Lychee, Macadamia, Chestnut, Mulberry, Pecan and Ice Cream Bean as well as Candle Nut trees and a Pine Nut grove with about 50 developing trees. Introduced trees include 2 kinds of Liquidambar, various kinds of Maple, Crepe Myrtles, Ash, ornamental Pistachio, Chinese Elm, Oak, Leopard Trees, Jacaranda, Poinciana and Schizolobium. For hobby and building purposes there is a grove of 5 kinds of Bamboo, some edible, others for construction.
The garden is watered from a reliable bore, the water being delivered by a pump to the entire property through underground pipes and about 25 taps.
With the vistas and different themes in different parts of the garden, the property would make a perfect venue for weddings, etc., a restaurant or a horticultural enterprise.
The property is located 15 minutes from Casino, 25 minutes from Lismore, 35 minutes from Evans Head beaches, 60 minutes from Ballina (airport) and 70 Minutes from Byron Bay.
Casino is well endowed with schools and there is a school bus at the gate. There are TAFE colleges in Casino and Lismore and Southern Cross University has its main campus in Lismore.
The area abounds with national parks and other places of interest.
Please note that the property will not be open for inspection until after March 10.
