Once a bustling tin mining town of some 2,000 people I am now a sleepy little hollow of some 80+ residents. I have been an integral part of Torrington for some 100 years or so and was once occupied by the local postmistress for some 25 years of my life. I currently reside on a small rise on the edge of town with a slightly elevated and open outlook over the valley below. I am fully fenced and easy to look after as I only have an acre to manage. My current owner was born here and has owned me for some 55 years, so letting me go with all those fond memories is not an easy decision to make.
I would have to be one of Torringtons well-known historic cottages and well worth restoring. Behind me are the picturesque granite surrounds of the National Park with its great bush walks, rock climbing and the love of fossicking for crystal & topaz. In fact, I would make an excellent hideaway or weekend getaway for anyone wanting to escape suburbia and enjoy the fantastic country living that I have to offer.
