The "bones" of the house are fine, with good foundations, and a sound structure.
The roof is corrugated fibrolite which contains asbestos and the current owner believes its useful life has expired and it should be replaced. The verandah ceilings are fibro and could be changed or left in place, depending on your preference. All plumbing and electric cabling should be replaced. The kitchen and bathroom need renovation.
Piers are concrete, weatherboards are imported Canadian redwood, internal floors generally Cypress pine. Doors, and windows and their architraves are generally of very good quality, using redwood.

It is proposed to sell the property by formally inviting those who have shown interest in the property to submit an offer in conformance with guidelines issued with the invitation. The invitation was issued 22 January and will close at noon 14 February in Bega. Offers invited for $400,000 (+). It is planned to assess these proposals within a week, and select the winning party. Unsuccessful parties will be so advised soon thereafter. it should be noted that the owner recently had the house inspected for white ants, and none were found.
