Last Listing description (March 2017)

Today Sandon Village is tranquil and remote and yet so close. It's unique location means it s still like going on an adventure to get there.
There were only a few who knew about and visited the Sandon up till the early 1900's. Then a number of holiday makers from the Clarence River arrived. They experienced such good fishing that the secret spot was disclosed and from then on the reputation developed. Temporary shelters were followed by the first house in 1914. The fishing continued and so did the stories.
As the village grew so did the sense of community. Life in this pretty spot, by the river and the sea, revolved around fishing, oystering, crabbing, collecting pippis, boating and more fishing.

Some have been privileged to live permanently at the Sandon. Others return regularly to spend their time in a uniquely timeless environment. This is what being at the Sandon does to you. Life is simplified, your needs are less, your mood is utterly relaxed.
The following quote sums it up - The Grafton Argus Newspaper 1912.
The small happy community on the Sandon are free from the environment of Civilisation, while they are only about 18 miles from it. They glory in this, and are proud to feel that in a measure they are monarchs of all they survey. The ill fangled fads of what civilisation brings in its trail do not appeal to them . From The Sandon a remote coastal settlement, Compiled by Bill Biddle.
The family owners of Pebbly Crescent have decided that the time has come to pass on the opportunity for someone new to experience what life is like at the Sandon and to enjoy its beauty. They know that person will appreciate the beach house and the lifestyle.
Built in a true manner and built to last, the beach house is spacious and comfortable, easy to maintain, easy to call home and very easy to holiday in.
These opportunities come around only every now and then at the Sandon. If you wish to have a greater understanding of this opportunity, call us today. We look forward to helping you.
