Last Listing description (September 2024)

Are you looking for a property that's got everything you'll need? Have you been dreaming of being self-sufficient? Away from the maddening crowd? We felt the same way when we first arrived. What we found was all that and more. It has truly been a healing and special place.

As time has gone on, we have gotten older and now are unable to upkeep our little paradise on our own. Our family is all very far away, and life is very lonely now. We've made the tough decision to seek out new caretakers for this property, that will also appreciate all the beauty and possibilities it has to offer. We've made some incredible memories here and now we hope it's time for you to make new ones.

Nestle at the end of a fully tarred road only 12 minutes to town, you'll find an Oak lined driveway on the right leading up to the internal fence line. There is more than enough space for additional dwellings and cement foundation stumps have already been laid in preparation for that fabulous art studio or Airbnb cottage you've been dreaming of.

We have not had any livestock on the property but, friends in the road have horses, cows, and very cute goats. Our neighbors are eclectic and range from young families to retirees. There is a yearly Christmas get together and lots more activities planned for the future. It's been a really good place to live, and we've made some close friends. Sharing and bartering for fruit and veggies has already been established in the road and there are endless possibilities for more.

Animals and Wildlife
There is a chook house and run with a dozen gorgeous girls supplying you, with warm fresh organic eggs. We have 4 resident Guineafowl that are great for keeping friendly snakes at bay. We have a few old, red-bellied blacks that we have always respected and rarely seen. They keep the brown snakes away and we leave them in peace, we believe it's a pretty fair swap. We have always tried to maintain a balance between the wildlife that inhabits this land and our own animals.
Prepare yourself.... We have peacocks, they grace the property with their magnificent displays and silly behavior. They free range through the day and roost in the high eucalypts at night. An understanding and love for these birds would be a plus.

We have a stunning 4yr old pedigree Maremma that has guarded the property and kept us safe. This has been very heartbreaking as we cannot take him with us. We will be looking to find him the perfect home but perhaps, the new caretakers may need a magnificent Direwolf to stay on. We would be happy to talk about that once you have met.

There are also the usual Roos, one big bastard we call Bruce, tends to flex his muscles and lay about a lot. The odd echidna, possums, frill necks, turtles, lots of frogs, dragonflies, butterflies and many different bees. A resident cormorant called Collin and, an array of egrets and herons that pop in to annoy him (we think he secretly likes it). Add in generations of magpies, local wedgetail eagles, cockatoos, a large assortment of parrots, wrens and finches that have been here over the years.

A stunning spring filled dam that's been so healing to swim and wade in and, even a little beach like area. Glimpses of quartz crystals that catch the light of the afternoon sun, watching our free loafing Wagtail dance and play across the water catching the last insects of the day. In the evening the stars will take your breath away, insects and frogs sing loudly, and the night magic unfolds.

There is a large assortment of native and medicinal trees planted throughout the property. A row of She-oaks that sing to you and often bring black cockatoos. We've loved walking here with our pups.
See? we told you it was magical. Many a story could be written under the trees, or the next painting created with all this inspiration around you.

We may not always be in reception so please SMS and we will get back to you.
