The area sustains and is currently home to many native plants and animals. You'll find woodlands and forests occupied by white cypress pine, Red Gums, Rough-barked Apple, Pilliga Box and Poplar Box, Bull Oak and Belah, and many more species during your bushwalks.

If you're a budding botanist, you'll love the delicate orchids blue lilies, paper daisies, and spring wildflowers.

You may also see a variety of wildlife, and some are endangered such as Koala, Squirrel Glider, Black-striped Wallaby, Corben's Long-eared Bat, and the endemic Pilliga Mouse.
Bilbies, Brush-tailed Bettongs and Bridled Nailtail Wallabies & wild pigs. Birds include the iconic Barking Owl, Black Cockatoo, Hooded Robin, Speckled Warbler, varied Sittella, Grey-crowned Babbler, Brown Treecreeper, Little Lorikeet, Turquoise Parrot & Diamond Firetail.

If you simply want to enjoy the area to camp and picnic under the trees, cook up a storm on the barbecue, or simply unwind to the soothing sounds of nature then this is the spot.

The property boasts a small dam, a running creek, and waterholes after the rains. Fencing is minimal. Jacks Creek State Forest is close by and includes picnic tables and walking tracks.

The drive is approximately 26 minutes from Narrabri, part bitumen and part all-weather access road. Rates are currently $700.00 per annum.
