TOPOGRAPHY & SOILS
Murraguldrie Station divides itself into two distinct categories by location. Some 1500 acres is situated west of the Humula-Tarcutta Road (Murraguldrie Home) and a further 1300 acres (approx) on the eastern side of this main road.

Each section of the of the property again divides in soil types with the home area (west) comprising some 1000 acres of prime creek flats and undulating loam soils and approx. 500 acres of stronger undulation low hill country with shale type soils. Remnant timber is scattered over the whole of this country with larger areas of improved perennial pastures. Recognised native pasture species are established on the hill grazing country.

Murraguldrie East (1300 acres approx) again divides into soil categories with some 1000 acres of creek flats and loam type soils and 300 acres of unimproved lightly timbered low hill grazing (shale). The loam soils of this section comprise large areas of perennial pastures (phalaris, etc) and recognised natural pasture species.


Murraguldrie Station includes 2000 acres (800ha) of prime highly productive country, areas of excellent hill grazing country (200ha) and some 120ha of natural country. This area of 120ha is currently under an Environmental Management Arrangement with the vendors which returns some $17,000 per annum. Details of this arrangement will be included in the sale contract.


TIMBER
Scattered stands of established trees throughout the property. Red, Yellow box predominantly. Some grey box. Large gums.


FENCING & PADDOCKS
