The village of Greenethorpe was built in 1908 to house the workers from George Henry Greene's property, Iandra, which is 11 km away. The village of about 130 people has a Post Office, Caf , a Primary School, Police Station and a hotel. The main industry is farming. Greenethorpe is approximately half hour drive to the nearest big towns of Cowra, Grenfell and Young, all of which have High Schools.
PROPERTY #1:
Historic 110 year old home, constructed of galvanised iron and weatherboard. Whilst renovated over the years the house still retains the character of when built in the early 1900s, some interior walls are still original weatherboard. There are two bedrooms inside the house and a third room on the side of the house accessed via the front verandah. The bathroom has a shower, hand-basin and toilet (no bath), with an extra toilet on the back verandah. A fresh coat of paint would certainly brighten up the interior. A carport provides undercover parking for one car, there's also a large workshop with paved floor, power & lights. The new iron roof is just over 3 years old. An 'owner installed' solar system runs all the 12 volt LED lighting whilst the rest of the house runs on standard 240 volt mains power. Two R/C split-system A/C heat & cool the dining & living areas and a slow combustion wood heater in the living room heats the house in winter. The kitchen has a (bottle) gas oven and stove. Internet connection is via high-speed NBN satellite. Situated on a level 560m2 approx block with town water & septic system. Selling price $93,000.

PROPERTY #2:
Former CWA Hall on a level 530m2 approx block is situated next door to the house above. Town water and electricity are also connected, as is a septic tank system. The hall is newer than the cottage and also has a galvanised iron roof. It is divided into three rooms - the main hall (4.3m x 7.2m) which occupies half of the building, and two smaller rooms. One of these rooms is the former Baby Health Centre and has a hand-basin, whilst the second room contains a kitchen sink and cupboards. The toilet is outside. This building does need rewiring & could be converted to a dwelling (STCA). Selling price $33,000.
