What is Biobanking?
This bushland has been saved and preserved through the bio bank land management system. This is a state government run initiative. A requirement to owning the block is the preservation of natural habitat. You will receive money from the government that varies from year to year. This money will require you to manage the land through hiring contractors. We are currently in Year 3 of the active management plan. Each year the land is inspected by a government inspector and provided your doing the right thing, the money will then be released for the next year. No personal money is required to be spent and there are no bio-credits available.
Please see this link to the government website to give you a better understanding of what is required.

Building
This outstanding bush retreat of approximately 50.38Ha of native Australian bushland is an affordable alternative to the 600sqm estate style block you will find in town. Building on this property consists of the non-biobank area, 1 Ha in size which is a substantial area to create your weekender or ideal home subject to council approval (STCA). Pls note red square in photos. Ideally you would be looking at building an off-grid system for electricity, putting in your own enviro cycle septic system and of course your very own pure rain water from the sky. Outside this non-bio bank area the agreement maintains that no domestic animals or recreational motorbikes are allowed on a permanent basis. There are an amazing variety of 4WD tracks around the property for access.
Duns Creek is central to the beaches only 50 min away, the wineries of Hunter Valley only 40 min away, and Newcastle airport only 35min away. This makes this location the perfect cornerstone to easily explore the best that this great state has to offer.
We are urging anyone who is seriously interested to call Scott Hunter on 0448 870 068. An exceptionally sized lot, it makes the perfect weekend escape or your own private natural paradise!
